Korean Style Bao Buns

Shopping List

  • 1x 75g Gourmet Sticky Brisket of Beef Without The Grief Sauce Mix
  • 1x 1kg Beef Brisket
  • 1x 150ml Water
  • 8x Bao Buns
  • 2.5cm Root Ginger (grated)
  • 1x Bunch Spring Onion
  • 4x Tablespoons Soya Sauce
  • 1x Small Bunch Fresh Coriander Leaves

Method

  1. Place the beef brisket in your slow cooker pot.
  2. Blend the Sticky Beef Brisket of Beef Witout The Greaf Sauce Mix with the water and pour over the beef.
  3. Cover and cook for 4 hours on HIGH or 8 hours on MEDIUM until the meat is tender and cooked through (keep covered during cooking. Cooking times may vary between slow cooker models).
  4. Remove the beef from the slow cooker and use two forks to shred.
  5. Add the shredded beef back into the sauce, along with the ginger and soya sauce and stir through.
  6. Slice the spring onions and chop the coriander leaves.
  7. Steam the Bao Buns as required.
  8. Add 2x tablespoons of the brisket to each bao bun and top up with some spring onion and coriander leaves before serving.

Top Tip – Smear a thin layer of oil around your slow cooker pot before adding the ingredients to prevent excess sticking.
