Sloppy Gordons (Joes)

Shopping List

  • 1 x Chilled out Chilli Con Carne Sauce Mix
  • 500g Beef, minced
  • 400g Tinned Tomatoes
  • 1 x Medium Onion, diced
  • 1 x Small Green Bell Pepper, diced
  • 200ml Water
  • 6 x Burger Buns (or gluten free alternative)

Method

  1. Place the mince, onion and pepper into your slow cooker.
  2. Mix the Chilli Sauce sachet with 200ml of water, add to the slow cooker pot, stir thoroughly.
  3. Add the tomatoes and stir again.
  4. Cover and cook for 4 hours on HIGH or 8 hours on MEDIUM setting until the meat is tender and cooked through (keep covered during cooking, cooking times may vary between slow cooker models).
  5. Remove the lid and stand for 5 minutes before serving.
  6. Add the Sloppy Gordons mixture to your buns and serve!

Top Tip – Gordon recommends serving with coleslaw and sliced gherkins.
